Nominations for the Board are Being Accepted! Executive Committee members and their responsibilities: President:
- Preside at all meeting of the General Membership and Board of Directors.
- Coordinate the goals of the organization
- Assist members of
the Board of Directors in meeting goals and carrying out duties
- Act as spokesperson to various groups
about international adoption from Korea
Vice President:
- Perform the duties of the president in his/her absence
- Assist the president in his/her duties
Secretary:
- Take minutes for all meetings of the General membership and the Board of Directors
- Send out meeting notices
- Manage
the development and printing of materials.
Treasurer: - Represent KFI in receipt
and expenditures of funds in accordance with the directions established by the Board of Directors, and shall keep records
of such.
- He/se will provide a financial
report to the Board of Directors meeting and will propose an annual budget for the organization.
Planning Committee Coordinator (2 chairpersons): - Manage the planning, coordination, and production of the educational events, which take place during the course
of the year. These events include, but are not limited to workshops and lectures for children and adults.
- Ensure that its activities are advertised in special events flyers and in the KFI Newsletter.
Membership Coordinator:
- Maintain records of Korean Focus members and manage annual membership renewals
- Provide
all revenues received from new or renewed memberships to the Treasurer for deposit in the KFI bank account.
- Maintain
the KFI mailing list
- At the end of each membership renewal cycle, provide a report
of the membership to include: number of members, number of renewals, and number of new members since the last renewal
period.
Newsletter Editor:
- Prepare the KFI Newsletter for distribution to membership.
- Gather information necessary to produce
the newsletter.
Member-At-Large: - To keep in touch with the membership and make
sure their needs are being represented to the Board
Board members must openly
declare any conflict of interest that they may have, that may profit from the activities of Korean Focus. They must also abstain
from voting on matters where this conflict of interest occurs. For more guidance on this issue, please refer to the chapter
by-laws. These conflicts will be recorded by the secretary in the minutes from the relevant meeting where said conflicts were

print it out. Also there is a nomination form. In order to nominate someone, including yourself to a role on the Board, please
complete the nomination form and mail it to Nancy Vanmeter, PO BOX 938, Fishers, IN 46038 OT simpley email Nancy your nomination
at membership@koreanfocusindiana.com. Nominations are due by November
30, 2009.

We are now accepting membership applications for Korean Focus-Indiana
(KFI). The benefits of membership are immediate notification of events and activities that KFI conducts and reduced programming
fees for these events. KFI seeks to deliver quality programming related to the customs, art, cuisine and language
of Korea. The types of programs offered are designed to meet the needs of the membership, as KFI exists to serve the membership.
We expect to evolve into an oganization that provides programs for preschoolers to adults. KFI's programs will be
run with assets garnered from membership and program fees. WE
NEED YOU in order to KFI to meet our goals. Please join us!
